Who is responsible
This site is operated by ICAO Aviation English, based in London, United Kingdom. For anything to do with your data, email support@icaoenglishcourse.org.
What is collected
Enquiries. When you send the enquiry form, this site stores the name, email address, role and target rating you give, together with your message, and emails a copy to ICAO Aviation English so that the enquiry can be answered. Nothing else here asks for personal data.
Analytics. If you press Accept on the cookie notice, Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, approximate country and device type. If you press Decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Server logs. The server that runs this site records technical request data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
Why, and the legal basis
Enquiries are handled as steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and in the legitimate interest of replying to people who get in touch. Analytics is used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Server logs rest on the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.
Who else can see it
VDSina, which hosts this site on a server in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Resend for delivering the enquiry email, and Google for analytics once you accept. Lessons and assessments run on Zoom. These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards required by UK data protection law. Your details are never sold or used for advertising.
How long it is kept
Enquiry messages are kept while your enquiry and any lessons that follow are live, and are deleted on request. Server logs are deleted automatically after about ten days. Google Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months.
